Everything we do here at George’s is built on our values and this especially applies to how and where we get all of our products from. Put simply we wouldn’t serve something to your family that we wouldn’t serve to our own. We build long lasting and close relationships with the right suppliers, treating them fairly and supporting them wherever we can to make sure that the quality of our produce is trusted by ourselves and our customers.
We are proud to pay all our VAT and taxes in the UK and pay all our staff correctly and fairly. We are working hard to ensure we achieve pay rates above the suggested living wage, and we never employ our people on zero hour contracts.
Everything we buy has to be the right quality; we specially select the fish we use. We only every use Cod or Haddock and we never ever compromise on this. Our Cod is 100% sustainable and frozen within one hour of being caught from the beautifully clear waters of Norway. Our Haddock is delivered fresh daily and is also 100% sustainable and from the Scottish coast.
We have a solid training programme that all our staff complete and invest in the development of all of our staff offering various NVQ qualifications supported through our experienced in house training team. Our values are make us who we are and that drives everything we do whether it’s selecting the produce that we serve each day, from how we treat our customers, suppliers and one another.
