THE CHELLASTON ACADEMY UGANDA PROJECT

We’ve had the immense pleasure of prepping up a huge fish and chip order for the lovely staff and pupils at the Chellaston Academy, who hosted their 2016 Charity Race Night!

With over 150 guests at the ‘Chello Race Course’, the punters were very hungry after a few races and we teamed up with the Uganda team to provide discounted Fish and Chips for the race-goers.

As part of the evening, we also sponsored one of the Races so it was great to hear lots of positive feedback from the Chellaston Academy after everyone tucked into their meals and we can’t wait to get involved again next year!

The Chellaston Academy Uganda Project has purchased, renovated and now maintains an Orphanage in Kampala for 83 former street children. It was named after ‘John Dickens’ a former assistant head of the school who was ‘deputy leader’ of the first trip in 2007.

It was great being able to get involved with such an amazing cause and we’re so excited to have learnt that the pupils and teachers at the academy managed to raise a whopping £5,000 on the first of their two big nights!
